At Saturday’s Coffee With the Cops event, attended by about 50 residents, Antioch Police Chief Allan Cantando discusses the staffing challenges faced by his department. The meeting also featured a behind-the-scenes look at how the department fights crime, plus a question-and-answer session. Cantando made a presentation on crime statistics for this year, explaining how the early release of non-violent parolees will put even more strain on Antioch’s short-staffed police department.
