Shirley graduated from Liberty High School in 1962. After high school, she attended Paris Beauty College in Concord. After graduation, she worked in various beauty salons in the area. She soon became everyone’s favorite beautician and barber.
She had to give up doing hair when she injured her hand. After the injury, she went to work for Zytron Microfilming as a microfilming technician. She worked there for 15 years. When the company closed down, she went to work for the Antioch School District, where she worked with autistic and physically disabled children.
After a lifetime of working, she was able to retire two years ago. She was free then to dedicate herself to the work she wanted to do the most: spreading and sharing the word of Jehovah. She enriched many people with her knowledge of Jehovah. Shirley was a very loving and compassionate person who will be missed very much by everyone who knew and loved her.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, March 22 at 5 p.m. at the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall, 1111 Sunset Drive in Antioch. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
