Antioch resident Jean Linscheid passed away on March 15, 2012 after her brave battle with breast cancer.

Born to Edwin and Jacque Pollard on Oct. 19,1932 in Long Beach, Jean moved with her family to Antioch in 1946.

Jean was married to Arnold Linscheid Jr. for 46 years before his passing in 1998. After raising her four children, she went back to college and received her A.A. degree from Diablo Valley College in June of 1971, and her B.S. degree in child development from Cal State Hayward. She taught school for five years, and was employed by the Social Security Administration for 18 years, retiring in May of 1998.

Jean is survived by her four children, Arnold Robert (Bob) Linscheid, Kathryn Linscheid, Richard Linscheid and Kimberly Rezendes; son-in-law, Donald Rezendes; seven grandchildren, Mia Sedillo, Philip Linscheid, Jonathan Linscheid, Matthew Linscheid, Caitlin Linscheid, Brian Rezendes and Jeffrey Rezendes; and one great granddaughter, Grace Sedillo. She is also survived by her brothers, Edwin Pollard, twin brother Donald Pollard, and Mike Pollard; and sister, Carolyn Martin.

Jean was an active member of the East Side Church of Christ in Antioch and enjoyed quilting and watching the San Francisco Giants on TV.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, March 31 at 2 p.m. at East Side Church of Christ, 1020 East Tregallas Road in Antioch.
