Man shot, killed in Antioch bar fight

A 38-year-old man was fatally shot early Saturday morning during a fight at an Antioch bar.

According to the Antioch Police Department, officers responded Saturday to the report of a brawl and shooting at Cruisers Saloon, 1611 A St., at 1:36 a.m. Police say a group of men who were kicked out of Cruisers Saloon returned to the bar wielding baseball bats with the intention of starting a fight. The fracas began inside the saloon and soon moved just outside the front door.

One of the men who had been expelled earlier pulled out a gun and fired a shot into the bar, hitting the 38-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have yet to make an arrest and the man’s name has not yet been released. The investigation is ongoing.
