Eissner Financial in Brentwood has announced its support for the Chemo Caps for Kids initiative sponsored by Commonwealth Cares Fund Inc., the 501(c)(3) charity founded by Eissner Financial’s broker/dealer, Commonwealth Financial Network. Chemo Caps for Kids provides hand-knit hats to children undergoing cancer treatment.

“In 2010, Chemo Caps for Kids donated more than 250 hats to hospitals in both Boston and San Diego,” said Wayne Bloom, CEO of Commonwealth Financial Network. “After seeing the impact we made on the little heads – and hearts – of these kids, not to mention on our own, we’re excited to spread the word, broaden our efforts and set our sights even further.”

Chemo Caps for Kids has set a goal of donating 1,000 hats in 2012. Eissner Financial is actively participating in the creation of these caps and invites its community to join the effort. Details on the initiative, recommendations, and knitting how-tos can be found on Eissner Financial’s website, www.eissnerfinancial.com.
