Robert Burns Construction is currently working on the 2012 Slurry Project, which consists of repairing failed areas of asphalt, sealing cracks, applying a top coat slurry seal and striping in two residential neighborhood. Door hangers have been provided to all affected residents, advising them of the schedule for their street and supplying contractor contact information.

The first neighborhood slated for the work is located on each side of Neroly Road between Oakley Road and Regal Court. Around April 12, the contractor will transition to the other neighborhood, located north of Main Street and encompassing Teresa Lane, Charles Way and Miguel Drive.

The latter neighborhood includes the first phase of SierraCrete remediation that the city has undertaken. On streets with SierraCrete, the severely cracked pavement sections will be excavated to native material and then reconstructed with traditional base rock and asphalt. In areas where the asphalt has not failed, the SierraCrete will be left in place.
