Contra Costa County Deputy Sheriffs are searching for a man they say robbed Chase Bank in Discovery Bay.

Sheriff's Office spokesman Jimmy Lee said the robbery occurred at about 1 p.m. Wednesday at Chase Bank, 14810 Highway 4. The man entered the bank and presented a demand note to the teller, who gave the man some money. The suspect then fled the bank, Lee said.

Deputy Sheriffs searched all over the area, using a helicopter and a K-9 unit from Antioch Police, but have yet to find the man.

Lee said the suspect is described as a white man, standing roughly six feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black baseball cap, a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white sneakers. Police believe he may have gotten away in a 90s minivan that was gold colored on top and brown or black toward the bottom.

Anyone with any information should call the Office of the Sheriff at (925) 646-2441.
