Longtime Brentwood resident Suzie Shanks passed away peacefully at her home. She touched many lives with her positive attitude.

She was born in Alton, Ill. and grew up in Edwardsville, Ill. Suzie enjoyed a 40-year career with her husband Dallas as a business owner in Brentwood. Suzie also enjoyed traveling.

Suzie is survived by her husband, Dallas; children, Scott Shanks, Kim Landreth and Kirk Shanks; daughter-in-law, Sue Shanks; son-in-law, Stephen Landreth; grandchildren, Kiely, Kody and Kelsey Shanks, and Jennifer Landreth. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life on Sunday, April 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Shadow Lakes Golf Course, 401 West Country Club Drive in Brentwood.

Rather than send flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Suzie’s name to the East Contra Costa Historical Society, which can be contacted at 925-634-8651.
