Artists open their studios

Those with an aesthetic bent are gearing up for the self-guided Artists’ Open Studios Tour for 2012, which runs the weekend of May 11-13 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at locations throughout East County.

The tour provides a unique opportunity for the public to meet 42 artists in 21 locations – in their studios or working environments. Children are welcome.

Official tour guides and a tour preview are available through May 13 at The Gallery On Second, 741 Second St. in Brentwood.
