An exhibit of the work of Bay Area muralist, sculptor and painter Bill Weber will run from May 19 through June 16 at The Gallery On Second in downtown Brentwood. The opening coincides with the grand opening of the new Brentwood City Park and Civic Center and the unveiling of Weber’s sculpture “The Farmer.”

Weber has been creating murals nationwide since 1974. His style ranges from surreal to trompe l’oeil, whimsical to realistic, and can be adapted to any project requirements. His personal surrealist work (available to view at www.elgallosurrealist.com) and his mural projects reflect Weber’s ability to produce innovative and unique imagery and concepts.

Weber’s work has appeared in many publications, including books (“Painted Ladies Revisited,” “San Francisco in Photographs,” “Grand Entrances”), magazine and newspaper articles, and has been featured on TV news. His works range in scale from large public pieces (the “Jazz” Mural in North Beach, San Francisco) to smaller pieces in museums (the Maxfield Parrish Museum in Vermont), plus those suitable to businesses and private homes.

Weber will be present at The Gallery On Second for an Artist’s Reception on Saturday, May 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. There is no charge for admission.
