Special-needs children and their families are invited to make some waves at the Polar Bear Splash event on Jan. 31 at the Prewett Family Water Park in Antioch.

Sponsored in conjunction with the Special Kids Foundation and Prewett Family Water Park, the free event will include two separate swim sessions: the first runs from 11:05 a.m. to 12:25 p.m.; the second from 12:40 to 2 p.m. In addition to swimming, guests can enjoy cookies (donated by friends and families), coffee and hot chocolate (donated by Starbucks and Panama Bay.) Children can also participate at the crafts and activities table and meet old and new friends poolside.

The Dancers Elite group will open the event with a performance by the special-needs dance class Creative Kids. Dancers Elite will also provide music and fun dance party games to entertain the children. At the end of each session, children will receive a special keepsake donated by Education Solutions, LLC.
