La Paloma Leadership students spread holiday spirit last month by organizing an effort to donate toys to children at Shepherd’s Gate Women’s Shelter in Brentwood. Led by Leadership teacher Kristin Capps, the students accepted donations of dozens of blankets, stocking stuffers, clothing and toys during December, and wrapped them up to put under the tree. “Our students were very excited to help the children celebrate the holidays,” said Capps. Participants included, above (in no order), La Paloma Principal Larry Rodriguez, Capps, Matt Needna, Deanna Anderson, Chrystye Nance, Leonel Martinez, Jorge Campos, Zane Balona, Camille Lawson, Keenan Fincher, Michael Cero and Kaitlyln Austin.
