Hundreds of kids participating in Rachel’s Challenge started a chain reaction of kindness recently at Liberty High School. Roughly 250 kids from the Liberty Union High and Brentwood Unified school districts took to the Liberty track, holding 2½ miles of paper chains. Written on each link was a good deed that a student performed, such as holding a door open for someone carrying books or giving someone a cookie. Rachel’s Challenge is a nationwide project dedicated to the memory of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shooting.
