Antioch resident Evan Warnock, 17, will celebrate his promotion to the rank of Eagle Scout at a Court of Honor held May 12 at the Antioch Historical Society.

A junior at De La Salle High School, Warnock chose as his Eagle Scout project the creation of storage cabinets for Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation. As a member of Troop 159, his favorite scouting activity was a 60-mile, 10-day backpacking trip at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. He also traveled to Sweden as part of the 2011 International Scout Jamboree.
