In the late evening hours of June 2, three armed robberies occurred in downtown Antioch within blocks of each other in a very short period of time. A firearm was used in each robbery and several victims were pistol-whipped.

The method of operations and descriptions of the suspects were also similar. One of the suspects was identified.

On June 3, Antioch police officers responded to a fight at 19th and D streets, where they detained numerous persons matching the descriptions of the robbery suspects, one of whom was the previously identified suspect.

Victims from each robbery were contacted and brought to the scene, where in-field lineups were conducted. Five people were identified and taken into custody. An officer located a sixth suspect, who was also taken into custody.

Four of the six suspects are juveniles, and were taken to Juvenile Hall. The two adults were taken to Martinez Detention Facility. The robberies are still under investigation.
