On July 17 at 9:23 p.m., Antioch police officers on patrol heard several gunshots coming from east end of Sycamore Drive. Numerous officers responded and began searching for victims.

A short time later, the dispatch center received a call of a male subject on the front porch of an apartment in the 2100 block of L Street with a gunshot wound to his leg. Officers arrived and found a 15-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his left knee. The victim advised officers that he had been shot in the 2100 block of Peppertree Way and then ran to the L Street area for help.

The victim was transported via ambulance to Sutter Delta Medical Center. The case is still under investigation at this time. Those with information should call the Antioch Police Department at 778-2441.
