On Aug. 25 at 12:33 a.m., two Antioch officers contacted a large group of loiterers in front of Johnny B's on Sycamore Drive.

One of the group, Randell Wilson, began walking away from the officers. One of the officers saw him pull a baggie of suspected narcotics out from his pants and drop it. Wilson ran from the officers toward the entrance of the club.

The other officer caught Wilson and a fight ensued. The officer deployed his ECD (taser) several times with little effect while struggling on the ground with the suspect. A shot was fired during the struggle, but no gun was seen. Where the shot came from is unknown.

After more officers arrived and numerous people were detained, a .22 caliber casing was located in the lot, and a loaded .22 caliber pistol was located underneath the officers' vehicle. Two suspects were arrested during the incident and sent to Martinez Detention Facility on various charges.
