Discovery Bay Brownie Troop 1542 recently contributed homemade fleece blankets to Project Linus, an organization that takes new homemade fleece products and donates them to hospitalized children and adults, homeless children and children taken from their homes in times of stress. Brownie Troop 1542 made the blankets during one of their meetings for a community service project, one of the many the troop will carry out this year. Troop 1542 members, from left, are Sophia, MacKenzie, Bailey, Audrey, Gianna, Taylor, Samantha and Hannah. Not pictured are troop leaders Debbie Mapalo and Juli Patee.
