As long time residents of the Discovery Bay Southwest development (Centex Homes) we would like to express our gratitude to Supervisor (Mary) Piepho and her office staff. We would also like to thank David Piepho, Bob Doran, the other CSD Board Members, Virgil Koehn and Dave Reed. The last couple of years have been very productive in getting the Discovery Bay Southwest area where it needs to be so the Centex development can be turned over to the County.
In their efforts to make that happen, we have seen many long-awaited improvements in the area take place. The park (Tyler Park) is being maintained on a regular basis (you can now walk or play on the lawn without getting your shoes drenched in water) and the long-awaited new play structure has finally been added. The play structure was paid for through a grant the County obtained. The landscaping in Country Meadows, the entrance of Pacific Waterways and landscaping along Bixler Road is being maintained on a regular basis. In addition, these landscape areas will be improved upon in the near future. The new street signs with the Discovery Bay "logo" also makes us feel that we are now certainly a part of Discovery Bay, and soon there will be new signs depicting the newly named "Regatta Park" (Tyler Park) as "our park."
All of the above-mentioned matters could not have been done without the help, patience and continued consideration of the CSD Board Members, Supervisor Piepho, her staff and the County all working together for a common goal. Our families appreciate all the help in getting our community and development up to speed, and look forward to the future of our area and what else is to come!
We do appreciate all of your efforts in making Discovery Bay Southwest a great place to live!
