Through the PG&E and the Smart Lights community outreach Program, the theater was retrofitted with new energy-efficient interior lighting and over 500 five-watt cold cathode lamps for the theater's marquee. PG&E also provided a $10,000 grant to pay for energy-efficient stage lighting.
The retrofits and new lighting will save the theater more than 10,000 kilowatt-hours per year, preventing more than five tons of greenhouse gas emissions from entering the atmosphere.
