On Thanksgiving Day, Golden Hills Community Church held its 18th annual free Thanksgiving Dinner at the Veteran's Hall in Brentwood. This year we served nearly 900 meals, gave away nearly 150 bags of groceries, and also a great deal of clothing.

We couldn't have done it without a lot of help from the community. There were hundreds of people who helped in many different ways from inside and outside the church body. I couldn't possibly thank them all by name, but there are some who deserve special recognition for the generous donation of their time, supplies or money.

In no particular order, they are the American Legion Post 2002, Drew Hanson, Delta Fence, Bill Brandt Ford, Speedee Oil Change, Zuckerman Farms, Dr. Sanjay Ray, Brentwood Ace Hardware, Ralph's Catering, Encuentro Con Dios, Dainty Center, Celebration Christian School, Gateway Christian School, Alfred and Nellie Garcia, Betty Walker, Dave and Linda Crippin, Dale and Erin Damerol, Nancy McDaniel, Staples on Lone Tree, and also the Brentwood Press.
