Three Delta Patriot cheerleading squads, posing with their hard-earned hardware, represented the organization well at the NYFL State Cheerleading Championships in Modesto on Dec. 1. The Starts cheerleaders, who fielded a team of only four girls ranging in age from 5 to 8, took third place at the prestigious event despite competing against teams fielding as many as 18 girls. Two Patriot JV teams also enjoyed phenomenal performances against bigger squads. The six-member Blue team earned second place, while the eight-member White team finished third. The performances earned each team the right to participate in the National Finals in Las Vegas and in Disneyland.
