Tech. Sgt. Demetrius Kamalakis has been honored for his service to America by the Brentwood City Council. A 10-year veteran of the Air Force, Kamalakis serves with the 129th Combat Search and Rescue Guard unit stationed at Moffet Field. The hydraulic technician returned to his home in Brentwood in September after a tour of duty in Afghanistan, and expects to return there next year. His wife, Wendy, and children, Mikaela and Nicholas, were on hand to see him honored by mayoral proclamation on Tuesday.
