It's getting ready to snow in Brentwood City Park, but if you want to play in it - like Josh and Alexandra Emory, above, did last year - you'd better move fast. The snow will be sticking around only a week. The city's Parks and Recreation Department's annual Winter Wonderland arrives in Brentwood Saturday, Dec. 15. The snow (made by machine) will start "falling" at the corner of Maple and Second streets about 8 a.m., and the park will be ready for opening ceremonies at noon. Saturday's experience will also include free hot chocolate and apple cider, candy canes, arts and crafts and holiday music. The snow park itself will include a hill for sledders as well as a Tot Lot area for the little ones. The hours of operation for Winter Wonderland are noon to 7 p.m. daily from Dec. 15 to 20, weather permitting.
