Pioneer Elementary School teacher Andy Blasquez and one of his fifth-grade computer classes clearly enjoy the new hardware in the school's computer lab. Students, families and staff at the school held a successful See's Candy fundraiser in November, and the Pioneer Parents' Club raised $16,490 to assist in purchasing new computers to update the school's lab. With the assistance of the 50/50 Program offered by the Brentwood Union School District's Technology Department and the Parents' Club's generous contribution, Pioneer has finally replaced the used computers inherited from another district site four years ago. Students are excited to be benefiting from new technology that will enhance and broaden their educational experience. Way to go, Colts!
