They might be located in Pittsburg, but the folks who love ’em come from all over. It might be for the great food, fabulous service or friendly staff, or it might be because patrons of local businesses were so pleased that they recommended them to you.

Whatever the reason, it’s time for Press readers to nominate their choices for the inaugural Best of Pittsburg awards contest. You get a whopping 191 categories to vote on, and you can win cash prizes just for weighing in.

You needn’t live in Pittsburg to cast a ballot; you just need to vote for businesses in Pittsburg. The results of the contest will be published in a special 2008 edition of the Press.

So take a peek at page 2A in this week’s issue, mark the ballot and send it in. The rules for winning money are there on the ballot, and at the very least you’ll be getting an opportunity to tell everyone, in a nice way, where to go.
