Freedom High School graduate Tiffany Montgomery was introduced at the recent Army/Navy football game in Baltimore as a United States Military Academy cadet and a member of the West Point Marathon Team.

Liberty Union High School District veteran Jerry Black, who attended the Army/Navy game, said, "It made me proud to hear her name announced." According to Black, both teams were honored during the ceremonies and the pomp and ceremony was patriotic and exciting.

As part of the pre-game festivities, Montgomery and the West Point marathon team carried an Army/Navy game ball 250 miles from the steps of the cadet mess hall to the Baltimore Ravens' M&T Bank Stadium. The Naval Academy's marathon team also ran a football up 100 miles from Annapolis to the stadium.

In the school's short 10-year history, four Freedom High School students have been admitted to West Point: Montomery (Class of 2004/West Point Class of 2008), Andrew Joseph Ng (2006/2010), Jared Michael Moon (2004/2008) and Nicholas Michael Eslinger (2002/2007).

The United States Military Academy at West Point is considered the country's premier source of Army officers, but has also evolved into one of the most exclusive and prestigious institutions of higher learning in the world. and over the years has attracted millions of potential cadets. Fewer than 100,000, however, have been admitted, and just over 63,000 have graduated.
