The proclamation, a response to the city of Berkeley's recent action supporting opponents of a Marine Corps recruitment facility, said the council "recognizes the contribution that each member of the United States military makes to our Nation, our State, and our City and encourage all residents of Brentwood to support our men and women in the military."
