Chinook helicopters carrying members of Bravo Company of the 1-126th Aviation Regiment of the National Guard deploy on Feb. 24 from the Stockton Airport. The unit, which includes a number of East County residents, was headed first to Fort Sill, Okla., then to Afghanistan. Brentwood's Robert Pack said the helicopters will be sent to New York to replace some sent earlier to the Middle East, which the Bravo Company members will use while there. This is the second deployment for the 1-126th, the first coming in 2003. Thanks to Pack for the photo, and thanks to Bravo Company for serving. Come home safely.
