The Arts & Cultural Foundation of Antioch is proud to host the third annual Art4Schools Student Art Exhibit at the Rivertown District's Lynn House Gallery, 809 First St. The exhibit takes place April 16 through May 3, and will begin with an artists' reception Wednesday, April 16 from 4 to 6 p.m. Admission is free and the public is invited.
Beginning last September, local artists have taught a variety of programs at John Muir, Carmen Dragon, Jack London and Turner Elementary schools. Students learned pottery, dance, Chinese brush painting, songwriting and more. The program highlight is the upcoming Student Art Exhibit. The Art4Schools program is sponsored through a Keller Canyon Mitigation Grant provided by Contra Costa County District 5 Supervisor Federal Glover and the city of Antioch.
The Lynn House Gallery is open Thursdays through Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m. during exhibits. Admission is free. For more information, visit www.art4antioch.org or call 925-779-7018.
