A celebration of the return from Iraq of Marine Sgt. Zachary Curran of Brentwood will be held April 25 at the Shadow Lakes Country Club.

Curran arrived back in the United States on March 29 following an eight-month deployment. He was greeted by his wife Jessica and his son Calvin, who was born while Curran was overseas.

The public is invited to the welcome-home event, which is being hosted by the Marine Corps League Detachment 1153. Members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion will also be on hand, and Brentwood Mayor Bob Taylor has also been invited.

The celebration starts at 6 p.m.; dinner will be served at 7 p.m. The price of dinner is $25 per plate, which includes prime rib, potato, salad, dessert and a non-alcoholic beverage. Alcoholic drinks may be purchased separately. Reservations for the event must be made by April 21. Call 925-516-2837.
