Auto experts from a half-dozen local shops will provide a 45-point visual inspection of your car tomorrow, April 26 all for a can of food or a toy.

Linda Wilson of NAPA Auto Parts of Brentwood said the Car Care Fair would benefit the Brentwood Regional Community Chest, as well as the drivers who stop by.

It's basically just to do some good for charity and let people get to know us at the same time, she said. In addition to NAPA staff, inspectors will include ASE Certified Technicians from Kendall Automotive, The Auto Doctor, Micon Automotive, Monkey Wrenches, Brentwood Muffler and Oakley Muffler.

Inspections will cover wipers, hoses, belts, tire pressure, fluid levels and lights, among other things. The only charge for the inspection is a can of food, a new toy or a cash donation of any amount, all of which will go to the Community Chest. Founded by the late Rose Pierce, the Community Chest provides holiday sustenance for 500 families every Christmas.

NAPA Auto Parts of Brentwood is located at 7881 Brentwood Blvd. The Car Care Fair will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
