For the third year in a row, first-grade students at Timber Point Elementary School in Discovery Bay have undertaken a large recycling event to celebrate Earth Day. This year students brought in more than $450 worth of bottles and cans for recycling to support the school. Funds from this year's event will go toward planting trees and vegetation around campus.
