The agenda is family fun and entertainment and the venue is the Contra Costa County Fairgrounds in Antioch. On Thursday through Sunday, May 29 through June 1, free entertainment, free contests and free exhibits will dominate the agenda at The Treasure In Your Back Yard, the 2008 Contra Costa County Fair.

New exhibits at the Fair include Welde's Big Bear Show, sponsored by Metro 1 Credit Union; Health and Fitness Day on Saturday, May 31, sponsored by Kaiser Permanente; the Speed Text Message Contest, sponsored by Sprint Nextel in Pittsburg; and the fascinating creatures of Wildlife of the World exhibit.

And the list doesn't end there. Check out the beautiful sand sculpture, Pirate Plasterman, Cook's Racing Pigs and the ever-popular Wild West Cowboys, Flo the Clown and Kids Town America.

Fair admission is $7 for adults (ages 13 to 61); $4 for seniors (62 and better); and $4 for children 7 to 12. Children 6 and under are admitted for free. Parking is $3. For more information, call 925-779-7916 or visit www.ccfair.org.
