A summer reading extravaganza returns to the Contra Costa County

Library from June 9 to Aug. 18.

Students in grades six through 12 can transform reading fun into prizes with the Metamorphosis Teen Reading Program. Readers 2 years of age through students in the fifth grade can find out what all the buzz is about in the Kids' Summer Reading Program. And parents and caregivers of kids from infancy to age 2 are encouraged to earn some sweet prizes by participating in the early-literacy-building Baby Reading Program.

Adults 18 and up may simply submit a book review online at ccclib.org for a chance to win a honey of a prize, the Booklover's Bag full of goodies. One lucky reader entered in countywide drawing will win a complimentary one-night stay for two provided by the Lafayette Park Hotel.

For more information or to get started, call your community library or visit the Contra Costa County Library online at ccclib.org.
