Editor:

Being the chairperson, of anything, can be a thankless job. In the case of Fran Bowman, chairperson of Relay for Life held in Brentwood this past weekend, this is true. I have seen articles about Jeff Schults, Relay co-chair, but nothing about Fran.

While Jeff certainly worked hard as co-chair, he will be chairperson next year. Fran should have received some recognition for the job she has done this year.

As a team captain who is grateful for a well run Relay, I wish to give Fran Bowman, chairperson, a big thank you.
