Brentwood resident and Liberty High School junior Hailey Parish has been selected to attend the 2008 Congressional Student Leadership Conference on Media and Journalism.

The conference is sponsored by the youth leadership organization LeadAmerica. The CSLC is a college-accredited invitational leadership program for academically talented and promising young leaders from across the United States and the world.

Parish will join other high school students recognized for their academic achievement and extracurricular or community involvement.

The CSLC on Media and Journalism is a 10-day leadership program in which Parish will explore print, broadcast and digital media in a hands-on environment, put theory into practice when she enters the field, and research and report a story.
