The Antioch High School Class of 1953 recently held its 55th reunion at the Antioch Historical Society Museum.

Approximatly 65 members attended. Kinder's Meats of Brentwood catered the affair, which was held outdoors next to the newly restored McCoy Cook House on the museum grounds.

The class presented to the museum its class photo that originally hung in the hallway of the old D Street high school. The photo was one of the last missing photos from the museum's collection and had been in private hands on display at the old Casino building until its sale.

Ada Hill Wristin also presented her 1953 Emblem A sweater and Ada Wristin and Pat Scholes presented a book by Remo Jacuzzi called Spirit, Wind and Water, which recounts the history of the Jacuzzi family in East County. The class also donated $700 to the museum and has promised to return there for its 60th reunion.

The class of 1953 was most gracious and generous in their support of the museum, said Museum President Elizabeth Rimbault. We loved having them here and we hope other classes will avail themselves of our facilities.
