The Oakley Seniors were honored to welcome Staff Sgt. David Perry to their barbecue on July 27. Perry, son of Oakley Seniors members Andy and Joyce Perry, was home for 10 days before he made a return trip to Iraq.

His family, including wife Stacie, son Michael, 16, and son Tyler, 10, were also in attendance. Joining the group to honor this brave young man were Oakley City Councilwoman Pat Anderson and Oakley City Councilman Kevin Romick, who presented him with a memento.

David gave a thoughtful talk on what he feels he is accomplishing in Iraq, and everyone wished him well. His family is looking forward to seeing him when he returns from Iraq.
