The second installment of the Shadow Lakes Summer Concert Series will feature a homegrown talent who recently launched his first CD.

Progressive Acoustic Rock artist Ben Benkert, whose Meritage Records CD Live it Up! was released last week in San Francisco, will be the featured artist at the show on Aug. 30 at 7 p.m.

General admission is $10 ($5 for Shadow Lakes and Deer Ridge members). VIP (stagefront) seating is $55 (advance sales only; $45 for Shadow Lakes and Deer Ridge members) and includes a gourmet box dinner with choice of 16-ounce Jack Daniels porterhouse or macadamia-crusted halibut, plus a bottle of wine from Hannah Nicole Vineyards. Admission is free for kids 12 and under. Those in the general admission audience are encouraged to bring a blanket.
