You don't need to travel halfway across the country to get an authentic deep-dish pizza experience. You can taste that signature Midwest dish by taking a road trip to Uno Chicago Grill in Antioch.

A lot of people in California have roots in the Midwest, so this is a reminder of home, said Uno owner Matt Pellouchoud. It has a feel that people can relate to. People like that down-home atmosphere.

When you breeze through the doors at Uno Chicago Grill, you're transported to the Windy City. The interior is designed to look like an old warehouse, and the walls are covered with pictures and memorabilia from Chicago to set the tone. Contemporary music floats over the tables as diners chat over their meals.

Pellouchoud knows that money is tight for a lot of people these days, so he makes sure that the Uno experience is one to remember.

In today's economic times, you need to give the customers a wow' experience, said Pellouchoud. You need to be memorable so that they keep coming back. People pay good money and expect a quality dining experience, and that is what we want to offer.

Uno Chicago Grill's menu offers a diverse selection to satisfy any appetite. While pizza is the classic Uno dish, patrons can feast on pastas, salads, burgers and seafood as well. And the prices are reasonable.

Pellouchoud recommends the Rattlesnake Pasta, a penne pasta dish with a creamy yet spicy Alfredo sauce and saut
