Editor:
The Antioch Police Sworn Management Association is proud to endorse Gary Agopian as our representative for the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors, District 5.
We believe it is time for change and it is time for our representative to be a proactive leader fighting for the interests of all East County residents.
Gary Agopian has experience, having served on the Antioch Unified School District Board of Education since 2004 and currently on the Mello-Roos Board. He has demonstrated leadership qualities and a strong desire to improve the quality of life and education of East County residents.
Gary Agopian continues to demonstrate his commitment to the citizens through activism. He has been in attendance at Antioch's Quality of Life Forums, participated in the Neighborhood Clean-up program and was an open critic of the proposal to build a prison transition facility in East Contra Costa County. In 2003, he also served on Antioch's Economic Development Commission, furthering his commitment to promoting change and accountability.
Gary Agopian is not afraid to get involved and confront issues that are not always politically advantageous. His passion for wanting to truly make a difference is paramount to successfully fulfilling the responsibilities as a member of the Board of Supervisors.
We support Gary Agopian's initiative, determination and attitude for positive change, and he deserves your vote on Nov. 4, 2008 for the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors.
