Edmund and Vicki Linscheid are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Laurie Linscheid to Kevin McCrea, son of Michael and Judith McCrea of Buckeye, Ariz. (previously of Pleasanton).
Laurie graduated from Liberty High School in 1989 and earned her bachelor's and master degrees at San Francisco State University. She is currently working as a marriage and family therapist.
Kevin, a 1990 graduate of Amador Valley High School, earned his bachelor's degree in history at CSU Hayward and currently works for 24 Hour Fitness.
Laurie and Kevin began dating in April of 2007. After a year and a half of dating, Kevin realized he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Laurie. He sought the approval of her parents and brothers.
After being granted permission, they took a recent trip to New York, and Kevin proposed to Laurie in Central Park. Both Laurie and Kevin's family and friends are thrilled and are looking forward to the wedding early next fall.
