Patriots West vs. Tokay Jr. Tigers

JV DIVISION

Patriots JV West 12, Tigers 6

Eddie Martinez ran for 156 yards and scored two second-half touchdowns as the Delta Patriots JV West squad topped the Tokay Jr. Tigers 12-6 in its opening round playoff tilt. After the Tigers had broken a scoreless tie on their opening drive of the second half, Martinez reversed the momentum with a 28-yard run followed by a two-yard touchdown dive. He added the winning touchdown on a nine-yard dash off left tackle behind key blocks by Nathan Bledsoe and Dante Nomellini.

Defensive tackle Cody Quested set the tempo on defense, stuffing the middle with 10 tackles and a fumble recovery to snuff out a Tiger drive. Safety Conor Green and linebacker Shane Goodwin were also standouts on defense. Running back Kyle Trego rushed for 123 yards on 12 carries.

In other results against Tokay, the Patriots West came away with a 30-0 win.

Patriots North vs. Palo Alto Knights

STARTS DIVISION

Knights 20, Patriots North 13

The Delta Patriot Starts North team took the field against the Palo Alto Knights in NYFL playoff action on Saturday, but came up short, 20-13. The team finished its inaugural season with a 7-4 record.

ROOKIES DIVISION

Knights 6, Patriots North 0

In an overtime heartbreaker, the Patriot Rookies North squad fell to the Palo Alto Knights 6-0. On a wet day, defense was the main attraction, as both teams were unable to generate any offense.

JV DIVISION

Patriots North 13, Knights 6

The Patriot JV North unit came from behind to defeat the Palo Knights 13-6 in NYFL opening-round playoff action.
