Television and radio talk show host, commentator, comedian and author Brian Copeland will perform Not a Genuine Black Man at Antioch's El Campanil Theatre, 602 W. Second St., on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. Proceeds from the performance will benefit the Los Medanos College (LMC) Library and scholarship program.
In Not a Genuine Black Man, Copeland relates his funny and poignant experiences growing up in San Leandro. The Los Angeles Times has described the show as a terrific soul-stirring tribute to the human spirit.
According to LMC drama faculty member Joanna Perry-Folino, Brian Copeland's generous offer to perform his remarkable show to help raise funds for LMC scholarships and the LMC Library attests to his generous and gifted nature. We are so lucky to have him as a friend of Los Medanos College.
General admission is $25; $22 for seniors (62 or older); $15 for students; and $35 for Golden Circle (first three rows). Tickets may be purchased online at www.losmedanos.edu/brian or by calling the El Campanil box office at 925-757-9500.
