Editor:
With winter fast approaching, I would like to remind neighbors to please check your trees for unhealthy areas of growth and/or overly heavy or full branches. With winter comes rain and strong winds.
These winds can easily bring down branches and/or the entire tree. I would like everyone to check their trees, especially if they are hanging over onto your neighbor's property.
You might not think some of your trees are overgrown, but if you go outside and check each one, you might be surprised. If you own your home or are a landlord, you should maintain your trees.
Your neighbors should not have to ask you to trim your trees. Each homeowner should be proactive and take care of this. Your neighbors will be very grateful.
