In support of the city's 1,000 Oaks project, members of Oakley Girl Scout Troop 32912 and Cub and Boy Scout Troop 298 recently planted 20 oak trees at Oak Grove Park in Oakley.
The goal of the 1,000 Oaks project is to plant 1,000 oak trees in parks and locations throughout Oakley by the city's 10th anniversary in 2010.
So far, nearly 300 trees have been planted.
