The Hapgood Theatre Company will offer a benefit performance of its production of Tuesdays with Morrie on Thursday, Dec. 11, 8 p.m. at the Nick Rodriguez Theatre in Antioch. Fifty percent of the ticket sales will benefit the Elderly Wish Foundation.

The Elderly Wish Foundation grants special wishes to terminally ill residents throughout Contra Costa County.

Tuesdays with Morrie is based on author Mitch Albom's real-life relationship with his favorite professor, who contracts Lou Gehrig's Disease. The book has sold 12 million copies worldwide and was adapted into a movie starring Hank Azaria and Jack Lemmon (in his final role).

Tickets are available in advance through the box office at the El Campanil Theatre in Antioch, 604 W. Second Street, by phone at 925-757-9500 and online at www.hapgoodtheatre.org.

Tickets are $38 for adults, $19 for students and a 10-percent discount applies to seniors.
