A recently rediscovered work for the stage by Mark Twain will be performed by the Liberty Playmakers this weekend at the Allan E. Jones Performing Arts Center on the Liberty High School campus.
Is He Dead? had been filed away in the archives of California's Bancroft Library in Berkeley for years. It was rediscovered in 2002 during a research project and published a year later by the UC Berkeley Press. An adaptation by American playwright David Ives was produced on Broadway a year ago.
