You, Me, We Oakley! volunteer and Oakley resident David Alejandro Lopez, right, helps a fellow resident fill out the U.S. citizen application during the You, Me, We Oakley! citizenship drive last month at O’Hara Park Middle School.

In partnership with Contra Costa Interfaith Supporting Community Organization and International Institute of the Bay Area, You, Me, We Oakley! helped nearly 50 legal, permanent residents complete their naturalization application.

Residents originally from Cuba, Mexico, Pakistan, New Zealand and several African nations participated.
